Dr. Hira Bakhtawar
Associate Dentist
Dr Hira Bakhtawar is an AHPRA‑registered general dentist who brings a warm, gentle and patient‑centred approach to every appointment. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2015 in Pakistan and later achieved her Australian Dental Council (ADC) certification, followed by full AHPRA registration to practise in Australia.
Hira’s journey into dentistry is deeply personal. Having experienced dental anxiety herself growing up, she understands how overwhelming a dental visit can feel. This lived experience shaped her philosophy of care: slow, calm, unhurried check‑ups designed to help patients — especially anxious ones — feel safe, heard and comfortable in the chair.
She completed a one‑year rotating internship as a House Officer at Dow University of Health Sciences, gaining hands‑on experience across restorative dentistry, paediatrics, prosthodontics, periodontics and oral surgery.
Since relocating to Australia, Hira has worked closely with Australian clinicians, strengthening her understanding of local dental standards and patient expectations. She is committed to lifelong learning and regularly attends CPD courses.
Fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi, Hira proudly welcomes patients from all walks of life. She is happy to communicate in Hindi or Urdu for those who feel more comfortable in their native language.
Outside the clinic, Hira is a devoted mother who loves travelling with her husband and two sons. Whether exploring new cities, trying local food or simply enjoying everyday moments at home, family time is her greatest joy.
