Dr Hira Bakhtawar (she)  is an AHPRA‑registered general dentist who brings a warm, patient‑centred approach to every appointment. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2015 and later achieved her Australian Dental Council (ADC) certification, followed by full AHPRA registration as a dental practitioner.

Hira has a strong foundation in general dentistry, built through her one‑year rotating internship as a House Officer at Dow University of Health Sciences, where she provided comprehensive care across multiple dental specialties including restorative dentistry, periodontics, paediatrics, prosthodontics and oral surgery. She is confident with routine dental procedures such as examinations, diagnosis, restorations, periodontal therapy, simple extractions, emergency care and crown‑and‑bridge work.

Since relocating to Australia, Hira has immersed herself in the local dental environment — working alongside Australian clinicians and strengthening her understanding of Australian dental standards and patient expectations. Her communication skills, adaptability and commitment to continuous learning ensure she delivers treatment that aligns with each patient’s goals and comfort.

Hira is passionate about providing safe, ethical and evidence‑based care. She believes strongly in continual professional development and is preparing to further expand her skills through the General Dental Residency 2027 cohort.

Outside of dentistry, Hira enjoys spending time with her two sons and being involved in her local community.

With a calm chairside manner and a genuine interest in patient wellbeing, Dr Hira is dedicated to helping families in Taylors Hill, Caroline Springs and surrounding communities achieve long‑term oral health.
