Dr. Ryan Chan was born in Singapore, grew up in Melbourne and graduated with a B Dental Science (Hons) from the University of Queensland in 2014. Ryan worked in regional Victoria and Canterbury before joining the Watervale Dental’s team in 2017.

Ryan practises general dentistry with an emphasis on prevention and conservative treatment. He is keen to ensure the people in his care are informed to make the decisions that fit their needs and priorities. His goal is to empower people to take control of their own oral health while providing clinical excellence and empathetic care.

Dr Ryan Chan has a broad range of professional interests including preventative health, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. He has been published in the journal Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology.

While not at a dental chair, Ryan can be found nose-deep in a book, cooking, exhausted and overextended on a jogging trail or waterlogged and full of regrets in a tent.
